The workshops are an opportunity for Native American youth to be mentored in the dance styles commonly seen at powwows, such as the Fancy Shawl and Jingle Dance, Southern Straight and Grass Dance. A northern (Wildhorse) and a southern (Hale and Co.) drum provide songs and members of the local American Indian community are on hand to support dancers. While the focus of the workshop is children, adults are also welcome.
Dancers do not need to be in regalia; girls and women should bring their shawls.
Workshops are held on Tuesdays beginning at 7:30 p.m. and ending at 9 p.m. at two locations, one in Los Angeles and one in Anaheim.
There is no fee for attending the workshops; it is requested that you sign in upon arrival so that the validity and need for providing this service to the Indian community can be recorded.

Put Your Creative Vision into Action!
LIVING WELLNESS For over twenty years Living Wellness has been engaging the Los Angeles community through interactive dialogue, engendering understanding, tolerance and a culture of inclusion.
Since 1998, Living Wellness' Programs “Life and Journey of the Creative Healer”, “Sounds of the Sacred, Songs of the Earth”, “Walk Across the World” and "Explore into Character, Theatre for the Soul" have encouraged us to overcome our challenges through Arts, Healing and Culture.
By inspiring, educating and empowering us to transcend the boundaries of hatred, prejudice and fear, we create a transformative platform for change.
This year's WALK ACROSS THE WORLD celebrates WOMEN FILM MAKERS & STORYTELLERS. Meet leading international film directors. Together we will engage the creative process and bring story to film, moving forward our collective vision.
Join Living Wellness to reserve your special place where voice and vision for creative choices will be felt, experienced and shared. (email: Michele@LivingWellness.com)
